My first little dabble with lace this Fall, loving it in a bold teal mixed with other jewel tones. I'm also wearing a fun new little necklace I got myself for my birthday under that scarf. This is what I wore to last week's Halls KC event!

With lace, I like to mix it with something unexpected (tribal scarf) or in a bold color (like teal) to keep it from looking to girly. I'm still discovering my sense of style (thank you dear blog for allowing me to learn), but I think full on girly is something I am not (though I love the look).
Sure, maybe some girly pieces like ruffles and lace here and there, but always mixed with something else to ground the look for me. That's why I love this London Times dress (the perfect version of girly)!
