Favorite Wears: Boden Brights & a Giveaway!

Want to add a punch of color to your Fall wardrobe? Seriously, look no further than Boden, which is a more recent favorite shop of mine because their pieces are so well made, cheerful, well cut and versatile!  This dress, for example, can be a great piece for work (slip on a neutral blazer to tone it down... if you must) and play (like pairing it with leopard and a bright clutch).

You know who else loves Boden? Meagan from Because of Jackie!  She's styling a jacket, so make sure to check out how she styled her Boden piece!

Additionally, we have two great things for you.  A giveaway for some Boden credit and a 15% discount code (use code: W8C9 at check out) so you can all shop yourself!  See the bottom of the post for the giveaway details!

DSW for the entire family, an event to remember!

DSW now offering Kids shoes!

Have you guys heard yet?  DSW is now offering kids shoes from infant on up!  This makes your shoe-shopping for the whole family super easy.  To celebrate, Erin and I hosted a "Back to School" party in St. Louis full of fun for the whole family.  If you came out (despite the awful downpour), it was so great to have you, meet you and shop together. Let's do it again sometime!

For those of you who couldn't make it (we missed you!), here's a little run down of all the awesomeness that we had going on in celebration of the new kid's section (in-stores and online):

Donuts and donut-kabobs (!!)
Coffee from First Watch (and they handed out coupons for kids to eat free - win!)
Photo booth with dress up clothes & accessories with all photos by talented, Gina of i Kandi Photography
Craft table and kid-friendly projects hosted by Kelly of Live, Laugh, Rowe
Story time with books read by local librarian
Lots of giveaways

It was especially fun to meet a bunch of other StL bloggers and see how much fun all the kids had with all the activities.  I even got myself into that photo booth myself (in my DSW shoes) with a few different friends!  See below and make sure to check out DSW's Facebook page for ALL the photo booth pictures!

DSW Back to School Blogger Event

Erin and I both chose leopard shoes from DSW's vast leopard offerings (um, I need these booties stat and someday, Nora is going to need these), can you blame us?  Mine are wedges (here) and Erin's are kitten heels (here), so we were both able to be the hostesses with the mostesses and on our feet for the 2+ hour event.

And if you were at the event and go your picture taken, or even if you weren't, check out the DSW's Facebook page for the photos!

Favorite Wears: Mixed patters & a new blue skirt for OFW

Outfit with Blue Skirt

You may have caught bits and pieces of my past weekend if you follow me on Instagram. I was in Omaha for a very full weekend of some major family and fashion fun, two of the best kinds!  Erin of Pretty, Polished, Perfect and I were invited to Omaha Fashion Week and a lovely stay at the Magnolia Hotel (where these photos were taken - seriously, such a pretty place), so we happily packed our heels (wedges), cute outfits, extra lipsticks and, of course, our families and hit the road.

I had just picked up this flirty skirt in a slightly updated blue with a brighter version of the classic royal from H&M (seriously, run and get it) and packed it last minute as an option.  I always struggle with what to wear for these Fall fashion shows, as it's still hot, but I'm so ready to style Fall-pieces!  I ended up wearing this skirt to Friday night's fashion show to watch so many talented designers show their evening wear.  You'll see some of my favorite looks from the shows tomorrow, but a hint: stunning, intricate and surprising!

Huge thank you to Omaha Fashion Week, Magnolia Hotel and Visit Omaha for this fun-packed weekend.  I can't wait to share with you more bits and pieces of our weekend experiences soon.
