Favorite Wears: Winter Colorblocking Outfit

Cherry lips, skirt and checks for the end of Kansas City's winter.  And it's a long end... as I mentioned yesterday, Cabin Fever.  But the one thing I do like about cooler weather is the extra interest you can add to your outfit through layers. With just a blue button down tucked into the red skirt, this outfit would not have been as impactful.

The stripe blazer really pulls the look together, adds a pop of pattern over the blocked colors and calls upon a more playful tone that's still suitable for work.  That's not something I could wear or do as easily come warmer temps... except for once inside my overly air conditioned office space!  So, here's to looking on the positive side the remainder of this icky time of year!

In the comments below, share with me some ways you love dressing in the winter!

{Outfit Details:  Camel Coat - Old Navy, a knock-off version of this one (on sale); Blazer - old, similar; Blue Button Down - old from Gap, similar; Skirt, in Scuba Material; Booties; Bucket Bag; Thick Gold Bracelet (actually holds my Fitbit!); Thin Gold Bracelet (on sale!); Lipstick}

HUGE thank you to my blogging buddy, Lisa for Peridot Skys, for snapping these pics for me and then sending them to me several times (until they fully made it through - hah!).
