Final Days of Summer: Farmer's Market

It's hard to believe it's already mid-August!  Kids are already going back to school, teachers have to get back to work (still so jealous of that profession's whole summer off) and fall clothes already hitting stores full force.  I happen to love fall, the best of all the seasons, but there's something very carefree about the summertime (even if you're not a kid or teacher) that leaves me a bit sad it's gone so fast!  So, if you're like me, you still have a few things (um, or all of the things) left on your "must do this summer" list.

One of mine was hitting up the Kansas City Farmer's Market. So a couple Sundays ago, we hit it up for breakfast, produce and the biggest bunch of beautiful flowers (only $8) I've ever seen (still kicking it today on our dining room table).  Here are a few pics from our morning together as a family, enjoying the last days of summer.

^^ Another plus to coming to the Kansas City Farmer's Market is a yummy breakfast of beignets and crepes! Even Liam loved his first beignet and bites of crepe.

^^ They also have a community space for a flea market-like sale going on. Really wanted a few of those crates for Liam's big boy room (in the making), but the husband said no. :(

^^ My very favorite thing in the world.  A chocolate-covered cannoli, which I got one from the Carollo's Gourmet Grocery & Deli for a treat later that day. I wish I had 10 more... right now.

What is left on your summer to-do list?
