Summer time to me, means lots of friends and family
gatherings a la fresco. And now that a lot of who we hang out with have kids, it’s most
convenient and family-friendly to do so on our back patio. Most weekends you can find us having a summer
BBQ in our backyard with kids running around wild!
To keep our summer gatherings fresh, I love to include
different themes, entertainment activities and food & drink combinations to
mix it up throughout the season. One easy and personalized way to welcome your
guests is a drink with their name on it (or nickname) – literally. I love that you can now order custom Coca-Cola bottles via their Share a Coke promotion, which allows you
to skip searching all your local grocery stores for the one name you want.
More importantly – and fun – you can add nicknames or other
fun, endearing descriptions customized for each guest or guests of honor. I had
a little fun with that myself at one of our first BBQs of the season when we had
family in town. As an extra touch to our
simple gathering, their custom bottles were waiting for them in the ice bucket chilled.
