All non-maternity for one of my last maternity outfit posts

One of my last maternity outfits included all non-maternity pieces, something I really tried hard to refashion throughout both this pregnancy and my last.  I didn't want to invest in a bunch of maternity-wear only to not be able to wear them again in just a few months.  With the pieces in this outfit, I can wear post-pregnancy, and thank goodness because I love this rust skirt (last worn here with bright blue and a lot of other times throughout the last few months).  I've said it before, and it's worth saying again, midi-skirts are the BEST for pre-, during and post-pregnancy!  They are just the perfect skirt to wear all  year around with all body types, fitting well placed at different points on your midsection as your belly grows if pregnant, staying long enough to wear pulled all the way up to your bust.  I just love them.

And now that my pregnancy is over and baby is here, I will still be relying on my midi-skirts as my belly transitions (and boy what a transition...) down to somewhat normal.
What was your favorite non-maternity piece to wear while pregnant?

And on another note, I think this Target moto jacket find might be my favorite Target find in awhile (and that's saying something).  It totally looks more expensive than it was, is uber comfortable and super versatile.  It will be nice to be able to zip it up soon and style it up differently!

Final days as an only child...

Our sweet boy is in his final days of being our only child... Sure, we talk about the baby coming, but he doesn't really know what is about to happen, and heck, neither do we!  But, I can tell you this:  My Liam made me a mama. That is something that can never be unchanged or downplayed in anyway.

  These last, almost, two years have been filled with firsts, things I've never experienced in my life that have caused me the deepest happiness I've ever felt.  There have been some challenging times, too and I've had to look deep within to guide myself through unchartered waters, but no matter the situation, when I look into his eyes, I can't help but melt. Watching Liam grow (way too fast), seeing myself in him, seeing pieces of my husband in him and getting to know his blooming and evolving personality brings me constant joy and entertainment every day. When Liam is happy, I'm at my happiest.  The joy in my son is the only thing I need to bring a smile to my face at the worst of times.  He has filled my heart in so many ways.  I know that none of this fulfillment will be going away, but instead, my heart will just be growing to allow space for another little, who we can't wait to meet!  I'm sure seeing Liam become a big brother will melt me in all new ways.

There really is no way to fully describe a mother's love.  That is my attempt that doesn't at all do this feeling justice.  I just hope, as things get a little crazy for awhile until we find our bearings as parents of two, that he will feel the deep love that I feel every second of my life for him.
{And thank you fall leaves for providing us with endless amounts of fun!  Liam loves to be outside amongst nature and we've had a lot of fun throwing you around, raking and jumping into big piles of you this season!}

Huge thanks to FabKids.com for sending us this adorable little outfit for Liam.  Have you guys heard of them?  It's basically an awesome retail site geared towards toddlers to kids for parents to easily get full, already styled and on trend outfits for their littles!  When you register, you take a short quiz to help match you to the best outfits that fit your (and your kid's) life and personal style, or you can shop all the looks to pick from yourself!  Each month, they are refreshed to offer you new outfits to choose from.  Bonus, it's an easy way to take all that morning trouble of putting together that day's outfit together when it comes already done for you!  Make sure to check them out and sign up - discount for your first order! {His shoes are from Target}

Liam and the Great Outdoors

This little love of mine is in his absolute element when he's outside, especially open fields, trees above, dirt all around.  He is the ultimate wilderness boy!  I love watching him explore and how excited he gets to run free.  Earlier this month we celebrated our friend's annual Oktoberfest (a little later this year).  We all brought a dish and beer to share (and encouraged to try new things).  There was a big bonfire and colorful trees, stacks of fire wood and hay bales. The perfect setting for my wilderness lover.

Even better, we were surrounded by friends and over the years (twelve!) this annual Oktoberfest has added kid after kid, soon to outnumber the adults it we're not careful!  It's always fun to explore and be outdoors with other little friends.  The kids even had their own table to eat dinner and a scavenger hunt lit up by glow sticks and led by lanterns.  It was quite the evening for our little guy.

More on my outfit - trying to feel good about how I'm dressed in these last few weeks of pregnancy, and it's hard work. This plaid jacket is one of my favorite things that I can't wait to wear post-pregnancy (you know, be able to zip)!

35 weeks along // missing my midsection space

I'm really looking forward to having my midsection back - even the gooey one I have in-store.  I am at the point where my pants don't want to stay up, but shirts don't want to stay down.  Last night I was at the grocery store - just popping in for a few things, so I grabbed a basket instead of a cart.  Well, we all know how these things go... those few things multiply fast!  I was wondering around the store with my over stuffed basket growing too heavy for my deteriorating muscles, over-sized purse, could-it-get-any-bigger belly and coordinating waddle when I kept feeling a bit of air on my tummy. With my barely free hand, I was tugging at my shirt every 2 minutes.

Even my favorite maternity tank (great to add length to non-maternity clothes) can barely contain this bump any longer - it's huge!  I'm so ready to slip on a shirt and have it cover my full midsection, or keep pants up on my hips, or wear a skirt at least a few inches below my bust - oh and not to mention breath a little easier.  This girl is all up in my ribs, just like her brother was making it painful to breath at times.  It is the last month of pregnancy is so testing.  So close, but so far away with the most uncomfortable day always tomorrow.  Four more weeks till we meet this girl.

{Outfit details: Tee; Vest - older version from Old Navy (newer version here); Scarf - old from Target (similar); Old Gap Jogger Jeans; Boots}

{we're all pretty amazed how big this bump is... me making a face at Liam}
