Finally! A sale I've been waiting for...

{images are clickable}

I have been stalking the Loft site just waiting for the Lou & Grey line to be included in a sale or temporary discount!  If you shop Loft, you know they often have 30%, 40% and even sometimes 50% off discounts with a code, but until now, the Lou & Grey line has not been included in those discounts!  I have a hard time buying much for full price (especially clothing from a brand that does have so many sales), but have been LOVING this newer line.  And now you can use GOODNEWS at check out to get 50% off a lot of items at Loft.com including select Lou & Grey pieces (and some are 40% off with no code need; price reflected at check out)!

Now that IS good news, so I just wanted to share since I love a lot of pieces in this line (and loooove that they are styling the items with the Sam Edelman Petty boots I own and love so much)!  With the discount, I got this, this and this (and still waiting for this to go on sale someday).

What do you think about this line from Loft?

Favorite Wears: Back to work and out of leggings

Two weeks ago I went back to work.  It was an emotional day... leaving my Nora for the first time for longer than an hour or so. It was also a day I had to venture further than leggings, a nursing tank and oversized cardigan. And a lot of my clothes still aren't fitting super great, so the a challenge it was. Thank goodness for loose tops (see my 10 tops to hide a belly post and below for some of my favorite picks) and stretchy jeans.  But I'm super glad my feet didn't grow this pregnancy and at least my shoes all still fit (my foot grew about a quarter of a size with Liam).  So there that. At least I have my shoes.

Favorite Wears: Layering Sans Coat

camo jacket over denim vest outfit for winter layering

I love coats, but I hate wearing them.  They are cute and can really make an outfit whole or interesting, but you wear them for only a short amount of time before they become annoying.  Once to your destination, you have to lug it around or find a place to stash it. Sometimes I would rather just layer up a bit sans coat and run from my car to where ever it is I might find worth venturing from my warm home to, which isn't many places when it's super cold. So I put my denim vest to work under my thin camo jacket (not nearly as annoying as a big bulky coat) to add a bit more warmth with this simple tee.  I also like wearing big, chunky scarves (like worn in this outfit) with outfits with or without coats.

How do you stay warm sans coat, if you swing that way as I do on occasion?

Favorite Wears: Pops of Berry

My love for mixing patterns is old news, but my love for all things berry colored is growing this fall.  Love how the different shades pop against the black and white.
Featured in this outfit is my second pair of maternity tights in "mulberry", or a berry color, which allows me to still don my favorite fall-time piece and have fun with bright legs. You can still win $50 in credit to Preggers to pick out your own pairs of maternity legwear, just check out Monday's post here to enter!
Another fun berry feature of this mostly black and white outfit is my newish wallet that doubles as a clutch by Hobo (which I got a month or so ago and have been using it since).  I have been wanting one of these forever.  It's been great to throw in my big bags and then pull out to use as a clutch, as it even holds my phone and a couple lipsticks... everything a girl really needs. :)  Kind of thinking this is a great gift idea for the girl that has everything...
What color are you loving this fall?

{Outfit Details: Shirt; Skirt - oldie/good find via Target (similar); Maternity Tights c/o; Boots; Clutch/Wallet; Earrings; Necklace via KC boutique, Tulip (same style, different color); Pyramid Bracelet - Urban Outfitters (similar); Round Bracelet - Target (similar from Target); Sunnies - Hello Cheeseburger; Lips}
If you haven't yet... go here to enter to win free maternity tights (or make sure to tell those pregnant loved ones in your life, if you are not in need)!

Favorite Wears: Mixing Patterns & Wearing Metallic Oxfords

I love to mix patterns, it's one of my favorite styling techniques and one I'm glad I can continue into the third trimester of pregnancy.  This skirt is one of those amazing Target online finds when I was perusing the clearance section and found this one size too-big skirt for $8.  It's larger cut is coming in handy now and when I've worn it pre and earlier in pregnancy, I just safety-pinned the back.  Once I'm not preggo anymore, I'll probably actually get it taken in (since even though it was only $8, it's proven to be a favorite of mine).
On another note, I'd been on the hunt for some metallic oxfords since seeing J.Crew's pair. Though, at the price of $258, that just wasn't in my budget.  So I looked all over, anything too cheap looked like little tap shoes and I was really in love with the idea of this shoe, so wanted a pair I'd really be able to wear and love.  Then a friend pointed me in the right direction of these Sam Edelman Jerome oxfords and I ordered them immediately.  I've already worn them twice!  I am getting wears in now, sans fall-like weather before my ankles start to swell even more (oh joy), but can already see these as a fun staple for post-pregnancy!
