Change is in the (h)air

I think about everyone is ready for Fall's cooler weather, layered fashions, bold and rich colors and just a change overall. I know I am. And I'm on my way to all these things... starting with a new Fall dress London Times was sweet to send me and a brand.new.hair.do.  Seriously. I completely changed my hair.  Keep reading to see it!

My New Favorite Dress Two Ways {#2}

{Dress;  Stripe tee - H&M;  Pink wedges - Nine West; Pink belt - Old Navy}

This time I paired what is quickly becoming my go-to spring dress and certainly a current favorite of mine with pink pops to contrast all the blue going on. This look went to work with me, where last time I was wearing a mint cardi with a little pop of leopard & fringe to host a bridal shower.

Of course the 3rd and most obvious way to wear this dress is alone, as a ... dress.  However, this white bod and cool spring weather is not yet ready for that.  So these are just two ways to layer and be layered a breezy dress before summer hits.

Which do you like better?  Would you wear it differently?

I have been using Pinterest since soon after it came out.  I pin everything from fashion ideas to home inspiration to DIY projects.  I try not to go over board on pinning without actually doing and this is my next outfit recreation goal.  I already have a yellow dress...

Thinking Pink!

Just because it's Fall, doesn't mean we have to let go of summery favorite colors, like neon pink and poppy for me. With today's Friday Fancies via {Long Distance Loving} being around pink and in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, here is current dream outfit with some pink pops.

I've been drooling over this poppy colored J.Crew Dress since it came out.  The perfect color to mix with neon pink tights and a hot pink belt.  To winterize all the summery colors going on, a furry vest and booties help tone down the brightness and keep warm.  I'd grab a fun clutch, like this gold sequin one, to take me into night!

What I'm actually wearing....still thinking pink - baby pink though {even though, I'm having a boy}!

Pushing it to the limits!

Looks like a basketball under that tribal shirt. That belly is getting really big and round.  I'm not sure what I'm going to contain this thing in as it gets even bigger these next 2 months... For now, I'm really pushing my clothes to their stretching limits.

Good news, another giveaway is coming up later today, meanwhile, the current giveaway is still going on until Friday.  So get entering - they are great!

The Color of Fall

Bright orangy red!  I can't get enough of it.

This week on Friday Fancies at {Long Distance Loving} I opted to actually wear a Fall-like festive colored outfit!  This new, super comfy (b/c it's made of sweatshirt material...) blazer/jacket thing is my current favorite Fall color.  And it matches the quickly changing colored leaves right now.  Mixed with some denim, tortoise, gold and cognac, I feel like Fall myself!

Poncho.

{Poncho - Forever21, Stripe long sleeve tee - J.Crew Outlet, Leggings - Simply Vera for Kohl's, Belt - Target, Oxford flats - Nine West, Satchel bag - H&M, Bracelets - both Forever21 - Gold Studded one & Coral one, Necklace - c/o Shlomit Ofir}

I'm on a poncho kick.  I want more, lots more... in all different patterns, colors, longer and cozier.  This one is a great start of Fall poncho - and cheap, too, from Forever21.  Are you craving ponchos for Fall/Winter, too??

On another note, check out my necklace!  From the lovely shop that brought you the last giveaway, Shlomit Ofir also sent me this Formica Divided Half Moon Necklace.  It's very unique, like most of their jewelry and I love it!  Another necklace I'm drooling over from their shop... Multiple Rectangle Necklace (how great it'd be for layering with other gold necklaces, too).  They really have beautiful pieces.

So now the winner of the Shlomit Ofir bracelet?  The winner of this beautiful bracelet....

Congrats to Jenni!

Mustard + Stripes + an Easy DIY

{Stripe Blazer - J.Crew, Mustard Dress - Oldie from Target, Belt - Target, Oxford Flats - Nine West, Necklace as a Bracelet - Thrifted & Rope Necklace - Self-Made, see below}

Part of my DIY party I had over labor day, I also made a very simple necklace.  So simple I tell ya.  I found this DIY idea from Stripes & Sequins.

Your Shopping List: You just need rope (I got mine at Hobby Lobby Craft Store in ribbon/trimmings section) of any weight you want depending on how big you want your necklace, tape, twine or string and scissors.

How To: Cut two, equal in length, pieces of rope (I did 35" long each). Each piece, make loops so the two ends are at the top, then lay them out and get creative with your knot (depending on the look you want).  Tape the ends together to form loops that will go behind your neck, and tie them together to fasten.  Yep, just a little bow.  You could get all fancy and buy a clasp if you are concerned people will see the back of your neck.  See photo illustrations here.

Different Kinds of Happy Hours

{Chambray (I'm too lazy to iron) shirt - Target (similar), Floral Dress - Target, Yellow Clutch - made for me by PrttyPolshdPrfct, Rope Bracelet - Junghwa via Etsy, White & Silver Bracelet - Oldie (can't remember) & Pink Wedges - Nine West, now super cheap in a few sizes}

Going to a happy hour with co-workers or friends after work use to be very different.  I'd drink a glass or two of wine, while munching on some happy hour deal appetizers before heading home.  These days, I sip water, or if I'm feeling crazy, maybe a lemonade, and order myself a full on no-happy-hour-specials-for-me meal.  I'm usually the only one munching on full blown dinner, but these days when this little man is hungry, there is no waiting.

And the winner of the $25 Apothica.com Giveaway is....
