How I Wore Thee...

I think I did a pretty good job of wearing most of my 30 picks pretty equally in the Remix Challenge.  There were maybe two things I only wore twice, then there were some thing I wore a whole lot...

Remix Challenge {Round 2}: Week 4 +Some Recap

It's done, it's done!  Remixing, rewearing, and rematching 30 pieces of clothing in 30 days, with NO shopping is done!  Here's the last week recap (9 days):

Day 30 {Whooo-Hoo!}

Day 30!  See that.  30 days of wearing the same 6 pairs of shoes, 3 skirts, 3 dresses, 2 pairs of pants, 11 tops, and 5 sweaters.  And seen.

Ending with my brights out in the melting snow.

I started this Remix Challenge out at the beginning of my home remodeling projects.  I had to pack up my entire closet (clean out the whole upstairs - every little thing), so a perfect time to pick out what I needed for the next few weeks, while the rest of my closet got stuffed in various parts of my house.

But 30 days later, and the house is still under hostage by our painter. We're close, I think, to being done... but not close enough.  The wood work in all 3 bedrooms takes awhile.  And that is done.

Next, it is down with the wallpaper (this crazy gross wallpaper) and fresh painted walls!  One room will be navy and the other green.  Our room is already blue, but will be touched up.  So lets hope this will not go on for another 30 days... Now I have to go dig out some more clothes to wear while I burn all these (I mean, wash).

Day 29 {Party Dress}

One day left in the Remix Challenge, and most importantly, spending freeze.  Not that I'm going to go nuts, no.  I'm still gonna be good with all our home projects going on, but there are a few things I'm eying.

Second to last outfit, I put on my party dress for an actual party!  I wore two times already (under a cardi and as as a skirt), but now it was time for this pretty dress to come all out!  All out for a good friend's wedding shower. A fabulous one at that.  I wish I took pics of the details, but I didn't.  

Remember how I went to that lil' jewelry party for free via work? It was hosted by a rep we use to thank us for our business, and the jewelry was by Stella & Dot.  My earrings came a few days later (pretty fast) and I am wearing them.

Day 28 {Feeding the Geese}

My hubs and I carpooled to work today.  His check engine light came on, and we didn't want to risk it.  His work is on the way to mine, so works out well.  His company recently moved, so I got to see the new digs when I picked him up.  My favorite part were all the geese!

I'm kind of worried about the one in the street...!

Day 27 {At Least My Hair Looks Good}

My day 27 outfit post and home update in one?  I think my face tells you all you need to know about how it's all going...

Those are all our bedroom closet doors.  3 rooms worth of closet doors.  In our hallway.  Still waiting to be painted (a nice pretty white - these are just primed right now).  And that plastic in the background is blocking the entrance into all 3 bedrooms while the brand new beautiful white enamel on all the woodwork (that was once a gross dingy wood color) is drying.  I will all be worth it, I know.

But I'm really ready for my house back.

In other news, I got my hair trimmed.  1 inch off and boy does it make a difference!  Those ratty, devilish little ends be gone!

Day 26 {I'm a Dinosaur}

Today I felt a bit dinosaury.  I don't know what that's what came to mind - and you are probably thinking I'm crazy.  But look closely and then I'll explain...

 Comfy warm Uggs to get to the office (and through the parking lot of melting mush), then changed into my outfit boots.

I was going to layer my sequin tee over my black dress - but it just didn't look right.  So I flipped it.  I thought it kind of replaced a necklace and peeked out from my dress.  I thought it kind of looked like scales, too.

Then I French braided my hair back into a bun on either side of my part, which I've done a few times before (since learning this little hair style from one of my best friends).  I love this hair look for bad hair days. :)

Together these two little things, I felt a little like a dinosaur.  Okay, so you probably still think I'm crazy. Oh well.

Day 25 {Oh so Awkward & AWESOME}

Today I'm participating in Syndey's Awkward and Awesome Thursday round up.  Let me know how you like my lil' Awkward/Awesome post!

Awkward:
- Taking outfit photos in a restaurant bathroom {but it was a pretty one!}
- Looking a wee-bit homeless in all my outerwear {scarf and coat}
- Awkward hair length that sits on my shoulders and likes to be really fluffy {please grow faster, hair}
- Trying to get into my annual company meeting through glass doors that were locked, everyone looking, but doors were chained shut.  Followed by walking around the whole GIANT art museum that is still covered in icy snow to find the open doors to get in.
- Then fast forward to after meeting happy hour, trying to parallel in the last spot avail around a giant mound of snow, in front of same said co-workers.  They probably think I'm nuts.

Awesome:
- My bright teal tights.  I loooove colored tights.
- My lace skirt {sometimes shirt} from Target that I've worn so many times, my Cost Per Wear {CPW} is probably down to $0.25 right now
- Same goes for my lace up heels.  They go with everything.
- Said happy hour hosted by work, aka free beers.  I think from my awkwardness, I earned it!
- Then rushing off to go out to a restaurant to eat good food & partake in a jewelry party for free {I mean, work, another work thing}
- My job: work hard, play hard
- Only 5 days left of this Remix Challenge & Shopping Freeze!!!  {HELLO J.CREW}
- Hubs waiting up for me after such a busy evening so we can hang out - and him at least pretending to care about the jewelry I scored {again, for free - I mean, work}
