Favorite Wears: 4th of July Outfit Prep

4th of July women's Outfit

Every summer, the 4th of July sneaks up on my like a ton of bricks. It's my favorite summer holiday (haha, the only summer holiday?) - meaning, I love it, but it's also the sign that summer is flying by way too fast!  I also love dressing for the 4th of July.  It doesn't require a ton of effort - you can make a festive looking outfit straight from what you already have in your closet.

Stripes, gingham, white, chambray, red, blue - even polka dots - that's all you need to piece together something worthy of celebrating America.  I pulled this deep navy gingham tank together with my super old white skirt and accented with nude sandals and purse, easy as that.  The giant flag on the wall did all the work.

Then, layered with this perfect summer-weight hoodie in light sage, you could easily wear this outfit any day of the year.  I hate buying things too specific for one day/holiday. Versatility is my jam.
