Chasing Davies: Two jackets for a cold and frosty KCFW

Two jackets for a cold and frosty KCFW

It's March, but it sure doesn't feel like it... Though probably a more appropriate temperatures to be watching Fall 2013 fashion at Kansas City Fashion Week.  Friday was the main event, where the some of the entire week's best designers showcased their work, but also a night that benefited CureSearch

This is an amazing charity to help raise money for finding a cure for kids with cancer.  This organization was introduced to KCFW by Alyssa (Ali) Klinzing, Miss Kansas Teen USA® 2013 (and one of the awesome models I styled in October for KCFW), who is truly passionate about making a difference within this community. As a mother of a young child, my heart swelled upon hearing stories around this charity, and one I'll pay attention to moving forward.

But no fashion show would be complete without a little fun fashion of my own. On a whim, I finally broke out my cape that I got some 6 years or so ago at a thrift store in Lawrence, KS to add to my outfit for extra warmth. This past weekend was a two-coat kinda weekend...

Thanks to Sandy for taking these pics. :)

Get this look:
Dress - Old Navy (similar or this maxi in same color - love it); Jacket - Target (similar or this one); Faux-Fur Stole - Taken from a Loft Blazer (similar); Cape - Vintage (similar); Belt - Target (similar); Necklace - BaubleBar; Earrings - Gift; Boots - Kate Spade Fall 2011 (similar); Clutch - Target (similar)
