I often find that when I get stressed and super busy, my own health and wellbeing goes right out the window. So, a couple months ago, I started by trying to reclaim my desire to workout and the habit to make sure I do it 3-5 times per week. And lately, EVEN though I've been traveling a lot, I'm feeling that awesome thing called endorphins from working out, and loving it.
My next step in my own wellness journey is to manage my stress and anxiety, get more sleep (!!), drink more water and eat healthier when I'm on the go. Sounds easy, right? Hah, no. So, I'm really excited to be using Nutrimom, a new program that is designed for moms and moms-to-be whose mission it is to help moms make informed choices about nutrition and wellness for both them and their children in the first 1,000 days of a baby's life.
Research in Early Life Nutrition suggests that the majority of your baby's lifelong wellness can be positively shaped by the nutrition and environment you provide during those first 1,000 days of development from your first day of pregnancy to age 2! The Nutrimom program supports this mission by offering moms and moms-to-be trustworthy nutrition and wellness support via a desktop or mobile experience - and it's not too late to join, even if you have toddlers, like me!
I first signed up with Nutrimom, selecting my package for Personal Coaching and then filled out a survey to get started. I was quickly connected to a coach, Andie, who is a mom to two little ones just like me! She is also a certified personal trainer, certified strength and conditioning specialist and registered dietitian. I especially like that she specializes in plant-based nutrition, because it's a goal of mine for me and my family to eat more plant-based foods and meals, which I had noted in my survey!
It's been really easy to check in with her via the app and in a one-on-one setting, even when I'm on the go. And I love the articles she's sends me that are based on my personal questions and goals (for myself and my family).
They even have a digital library of easily searchable, science-based Nutrition and wellness information tailored to your needs—from right-for-you recipes to educational content—so you can nurture the healthiest baby and mama possible.
As a mom of two toddlers, working full-time in a job that keeps me super busy and traveling often, I'm really happy that there is a program like this out there! I am excited to continue testing out this program - because I feel like it's something I can actually keep up with on my phone during the littlest down times throughout my day - although few! I'll be sure to report back and keep you posted!
