Take Two: Stripes on Stripes & the Dream Bucket Bag
Hey, hey! I'm back today with a new Take Two, sharing how my awesome friend, Katie, found inspiration from this here blog (which if you'll remember from my first post introducing this series, she is a constant source of style inspiration for me, so this is a pretty surreal flipflop!). You can see the other posts in this series and a little more background right here. And you can play along on Instagram by using the hashtag #ChasingDaviesTakeTwo and tagging the person or source that inspired your look!
So, today's outfit features my all time favorite pattern... stripes! And it's stripes on stripes, inspired off of this stripe on stripe look of mine. And you might recognize that bucket bag of hers? I have the exact same one and we both love it. I love it so much that I carry mine all the time.
If you are new to mixing patterns, sticking with the same one in different weights (like thick stripes with thin ones) is a good way to experiment! I also recommend using different colors, with at least one of the same colors to tie the two pieces together or different angles (vertical vs. horizontal). Katie stuck with slightly different stripe weights, as well as the same color choices, black and white. I love how she had the stripe top peek out from her sweater.

Remember to tag #ChasingDaviesTakeTwo so I can see your styles and tag whoever/whatever is inspiring your look! I love to see how you all gather inspiration and what that inspiration produces!
