How we transitioned Liam's nursery into Nora's

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Playtex, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RefreshYourNursery  http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

This used to be Liam's baby nursery room, but once we found out baby girl Nora was on her way, we decided to move Liam to his new big boy room, and maintain the nursery feel of this one. At first it might have seemed a little bit boyish, but we knew we could make this room perfect for our girl with a few updates.  I still love, love, love these green walls.  It's the perfect color of bright green that can really transition from boy to girl with the right accessories and accent colors (color is by Behr and is Pepper Grass).

These are the ways we transitioned his room into hers:
1. Adding a new accent color: we kept the black and white accents that made this room feel crisp and updated it with the addition of pink splashes (hot pink, to be exact).
2. Replace artwork and photos in existing frames, and add some new frames even.
3.  Use accessories to help decorate: we populated the shelf with some cute little shoes, headbands and bows.
4. Personalization: the new baby's name, first initial and stuffed animals (I've really loved getting cute girly stuffed toys to add to her room).

And of course, some things don't ever need to change from baby to baby... we rely heavily (especially with a toddler still in diapers/pull ups...) on our Diaper Genie, dirty clothing hamper and baby diapering products... Thankfully, these things can fit right in without ruining the look of the nursery.  The Diaper Genie, for example, is sleek looking and we can hide away the refills easily in the top drawer of the dresser that we use as the changing station.  This is wear we also keep her diapers, extra creams, stain remover, extra wipes, etc for easy access.

And when a good deal comes along, I put the extra-extra refills in the closet.  Currently, if you head to Target and get 3 or more Diaper Genie refills in one transaction, you can redeem your receipt online for a $25 Spafinder Wellness gift card (while supplies last).  Now, that's a good deal every mama deserves.
