Favorite Wears: Bright Colors to Q39

I get a little more daring with my color combos come warm weather - I sort of mimic the color coming back into nature. I still love my grey and black & white, but this particular evening I was feeling extra colorful. We left both kids, Nora's first time, with a babysitter (besides my parents) and my husband and I met friends to try a new BBQ restaurant. I was a little anxious being without them, but I know it's good for us to get out for dates and time with friends.
I live in Kansas City, so we take BBQ very seriously. This new place, Q39 totally lived up to the KC-standards. My husband and I split the "judges plate" with a side of mac & cheese and potato salad and started with the BBQ sliders. ALL DELISH, and great for sharing. :)
Before dinner, my husband snapped these outfit pics (boy I wish I could crop out my hair - it just isn't bouncing back, among other things, post-baby/pregnancy like I had hoped). I always enjoy my husband's take on my slightly more adventurous styles, and this outfit received a pretty funny comment. Without further ado...
"You look like you robbed someone in Sante Fe in 1982."
