This past weekend I felt pretty crafty. I made several things that I'll share this week. First up - this Zipper T-Shirt. I found the idea and tutorial here at Daily Work It blog. It was very simple, fast and fun!
You can change up the look by choosing different color zippers. I found lots of different color options at Hobby Lobby. You can also choose different lengths. Next up, I'm going to put a zipper down the back of a shirt and maybe even a skirt. This was a fun project and really simple. Thanks DWI!
A few minor changes I made. After I glued the zipper down with liquid stitch, I reinforced it with a hand sewn stitch down either side of the zipper. This helped it to lay a little flatter. Also, while the clue was drying, the top part of the zipper - that goes over the collar - I pinned down with bobby pins, so that I wouldn't have to hold it and left it while I started to sew.
More projects to come this week.
