Fall Wedding Festivities

This past weekend (well even a lot of last week, during the weekdays) was BONKERS! But in a wonderful, happy, too much laughing, not enough sleep, a little too much drinking, lots of events, and friends everywhere kind of way.  That kind of way that reminds me how much slower I bounce back vs. in my twenties... But all I can think now, however, is that the memories made and fun had with this group of people was totally worth it.

My husband and my good friend married this past weekend. And with the occasion, friends and family came to town and we had a houseful of people! This is our college group of friends - and this group knows how to have a blast at a wedding. I joked that we really should rent ourselves out to other weddings as a guaranteed way to get a party started and keep the dance floor alive all night long.

And while the wedding was obviously not about MY dress - I have to mention in as I got several DMs on Instagram after I posted a pic, and I really did love it. My navy, off-the shoulder dress was super comfy, flattering and fun to dance in. It would be a great holiday party and/or work dress, too!

But the dress that was the talk of the night was the gorgeous bride's. I loved the low back and lace details, and her hair was flawless. The whole event took place on their home's property, never to a lake, on lost of land and under a lit tent.  You can see some photos from the wonderful night below (taken in between dancing, so not a clear of photos...but you get the point!).

 Congrats to the happy couple. We had an absolute blast celebrating and dancing the night away. Can we do it again next month?

Favorite Wears: Wedding Ready in Santa Rosa

I love getting to merge a wedding celebration with a little vacation - it's the perfect combo! During our time in Northern CA, we drank a lot of win and did a lot of dancing.  It was fun getting ready for this wedding as the girls gathered in the master bathroom to get ready together, and it sort of felt like my old college days - living in a house with some of my best friends, getting ready for our weekend nights out together.

So, for this wedding - it was super hot (still), so I went for something breezy.  I felt bad for the dudes in suits. They were very warm to say the least.  I also wanted to keep my shoes on as long as possible - so went for a slightly lower block heel, which was actually very comfortable (and I didn't take my shoes off until a lot later in the dancing. ;) . These shoes are actually 40% off with code FRIENDS40 right now!

My wedding attire (+ earrings and necklace by Janesko's new architecture line, launching September 21st):

The wedding was held at Paradise Ridge Winery, which if I could do over again, I'd get there early to explore their expansive sculpture garden (like that LOVE sculpture in the photo below).  The wedding was beautiful - and the dance floor was hopping. I took little to no photos during the reception because I literally danced all night. It was an amazing music list and we all had so much fun.

The bride and groom, as well as the bride's sister and my brother-in-law were definitely the most fun to dance with throughout the night.  It was a lively crowd, and my feet paid for it the next day - in all the good ways possible.

The next day, after a brunch with the newlyweds, we headed back down to San Francisco, stopping to gaze over my favorite bridge in all the land - the Golden Gate.  I can never get enough of this. It really is so beautiful. And this day, we saw a whale swimming way down there - which was pretty exciting.
My outfit (my shirt 40% off with code FRIENDS40):

Until next time, San Fran! xoxo

Mamas & Minis Style Collective: Wedding Ready + Giveaway!

Summer is all about getting dressed up for various events and celebrations - but definitely weddings! Weddings, weddings and weddings!  We had several this summer, two on one night even!  And this summer, my kids were IN weddings (what?!).  So whatever fancy/dressed up events you have going on, I have some outfits ideas and inspiration for you and your mini me!

I am obsessed with Nora's sweet dress that she wore to last weekends wedding that she was also the flower girl in!  Because she was the flower girl, we got an ivory dress, but Kid's Dream has so many dress options in really sweet prints and other colors.  I love them all.  The quality and craftsmanship is just perfect. I can't wait to pass this dress down (once she outgrows it) and maybe keep it as a family piece for all future flower girls to come! ;)

She also wore these sweet little mary jane styled flats that are really well made, and comfortable.  Bonus: she can put them on herself and she loves them!

I am wearing a dress by Eliza J. - which is a brand you can shop at Nordstrom and has some deals going on during the Anniversary Sale happening right now! I love the hi-lo cut of this dress, and always love a halter style!

See our wedding style and make sure to enter the $100 Nordstrom Giveaway below!

{Outfit Details: MAMA - Dress c/o (another color option); NORA - Dress c/o, Shoes c/o}

A Wedding on Top of the World

What does a preggo wear to a Colorado wedding, outside, at the top of a mountain, with a cowboy-boot-wearing bride?  A rustic looking poncho of course! And all these awesome wedding elements made for one heck of a wedding, unlike anything I've ever attended and I loved it.  My friend and old roommate, Emily, got hitched in Steamboat Springs, CO nestled at the top of a peak at the Bella Vista Estates this past weekend.  The view from here was breathtaking. We were just high enough to see everything - from the town of Steamboat to lakes to rolling hills and peaks of other mountains.  The setting was romantic from the get-go, and then to throw two to be wed into the mix, it was a downright love affair.

See the bachelorette trip to Cabo to celebrate Em's last days as a single lady here and how we spent the day prior to the wedding in Steamboat here.

{Outfit details - Maxi Dress, Poncho - old from H&M (similar), Clutch - oldie (similar)}

 {They had a donut bar instead of a traditional wedding cake - it was delish and so unique!}

Congrats to Em and Jake!
