Favorite Wears: On a walk with kids + discount code

Both of my kids love - LOVE - to be outside, regardless of the weather, even.  So we are often out for walks, bike rides, playing in the yard or headed to a park/playground.  I love cute work out clothes for actual working out, but really love it for wearing on walks like this.  I can be comfortable, but still feel stylish and Boden just launch some of the cutest!  You probably know Boden for their awesome prints and patterns and use of color and now they're bringing that to athletic wear.

I'm obsessed.  These leggings are ridiculously comfortable and I love the pop of bright pattern down the side that coordinates with the tank and jacket for a pulled together look that's perfect for working out, but also good enough for going on walks with your family.

Boden has several awesome patterns in their new athletic line, and right now through November 15th, you can take 15% off with the code YOGA at check out.  Refresh your work out clothing with something pretty and new from Boden's new line!

3 ways to wear a white dress right now

I love wearing white all year around, but you definitely have to style your summer white pieces differently come fall and winter.  Make sure you pair your summer items with knits, winter patterns, textures and items that will keep you, well, warm! Here are 3 ways I'm wearing my favorite white, eyelet dress from summer right now:
1. Pair with plaid (and my favorite, buffalo check) and metallics.  This look is a more glamorous version of cozy-chic and could easily go from day to night:

2. Layer with more white! But pick wintery pieces, like a sweater with more texture to make the two pieces look different from one another!

3.  Go sporty!  This fleece varsity jacket could not be more comfortable - and it's warm! In this case, the feminine details of this dress (as many summer dresses employ) help balance out the athletic-inspired pieces:

Sweater - Old Navy (last year, similar); Pearl Earrings - old (similar); Boots 3. Varsity Jacket (on sale!); Necklace - Forever 21; Sneakers - J.Crew (sold out; similar & same style}; Red Purse - c/o Fossil}

Nora's Favorite Wears: Boden for Baby + Giveaway

Cute baby bibs to go with outfit

You all know I love Boden for their women's clothing (worn here and this one here),  and I know many of you love mini Boden (me included), but did you know they now have the sweetest little baby gifting sets?  Boden kindly sent Nora a couple teething bibs (because... ya know, drool) and she's been wearing them ever since.  They're so cute that they look like a scarf or part of her outfit and act as an outfit accessory more than a bib.  I've been using them non stop, from when she's drooling to eating!

Boden was also extra nice to provide 15% off their baby gifting collection with code BABY at check out + one of you will win a baby gift set of your choice from this page!  Just enter this giveaway through the rafflecopter at the bottom of this post!  Good luck!

Favorite Wears: Boden Brights & a Giveaway!

Want to add a punch of color to your Fall wardrobe? Seriously, look no further than Boden, which is a more recent favorite shop of mine because their pieces are so well made, cheerful, well cut and versatile!  This dress, for example, can be a great piece for work (slip on a neutral blazer to tone it down... if you must) and play (like pairing it with leopard and a bright clutch).

You know who else loves Boden? Meagan from Because of Jackie!  She's styling a jacket, so make sure to check out how she styled her Boden piece!

Additionally, we have two great things for you.  A giveaway for some Boden credit and a 15% discount code (use code: W8C9 at check out) so you can all shop yourself!  See the bottom of the post for the giveaway details!

Favorite Wears: Getting Dressed with Boden

I am a huge fan of Boden...for their bright and cheerful color pallet, array of fun prints and patterns, modest and feminine cuts and their kids line, too!  They really make your closet fun with all the added color, quality fabrics and rich textures. And their site - the whole thing just pulls me in for far too long.  They're constantly running sales and promotions so you can get that perfect summer dress or fun pop of accessory for a deal.  I went the summer dress route recently and picked up one I can wear now with layers, and then of course, as the weather warms up, too. So when it arrived, I couldn't wait to rip open the packaging and style it for immediate wear (naturally).

I've been craving a sweet, yet structured white dress - so this eyelet one, appropriately called pretty eyelet, caught my eye for it's versatility, dress it up or down (it also comes in bright yellow and navy).  It also caught my attention because it has sleeves!  I have about 1,012 sleeveless dresses, so I really appreciate a good summer dress with short sleeves to switch things up (and hide my current out of shape arms).

For the first wear, I dressed in the inbetween and took it to a blogger brunch, layering a bright kimono over top and adding a dash of leopard (can't leave home with out it).  I can't wait to style it many other ways in the months to come!

{Thank you, Sandy, for taking the pics of me outfitted!}

Do you love Boden as much as me?

Favorite Wears: Back to work and out of leggings

Two weeks ago I went back to work.  It was an emotional day... leaving my Nora for the first time for longer than an hour or so. It was also a day I had to venture further than leggings, a nursing tank and oversized cardigan. And a lot of my clothes still aren't fitting super great, so the a challenge it was. Thank goodness for loose tops (see my 10 tops to hide a belly post and below for some of my favorite picks) and stretchy jeans.  But I'm super glad my feet didn't grow this pregnancy and at least my shoes all still fit (my foot grew about a quarter of a size with Liam).  So there that. At least I have my shoes.

Favorite Wears: Plaid & Leather

I've been thinking about new ways to wear plaid post holiday season and trying to stray from styling that hints too Christmas-y or school-girl-ish.  I think the perfect contrast to plaid (especially a pleated plaid skirt) is leather.  Add a graphic tee to that combo, and this outfit doesn't make me think I'm celebrating the holidays a month too late or heading to Catholic school (which can sometimes be tricky to overcome with plaid).  Nope, just the perfect winter outfit (for that day just last week when it was in the 50s) for heading to lunch with friends and hitting up a few errands. Come tomorrow I'd have to wear this skirt over a snowsuit (sometimes I hate living in the midwest).

Ok so real quick, the Superbowl.  I am not a big football fan, so I hardly watched - that and I was more interested in socializing with friends and all our kids kept us quite distracted.  I do like watching the commercials - but missed a lot due to said kids, but the ones I did see, I wasn't impressed.  I was more interested seeing how brands would engage users via social media, like Twitter throughout the game (after said kids went to bed and I was able to follow along the last quarter and get caught up).  Some awesome, super timely and right on tweets and some really bad ones.

My favorite was from Hillary Clinton (I did not even know she tweeted, nor really follow her closely, but her tweet last night was perfection).

And the worst was a really obvious schedule tweet that totally back-fired by Papa John's.

What was your favorite commercial/tweet/social media engagement during #SB48? Or the worst?  Besides the blowout - that could go either way depending on who you were rooting for!
