There is nothing I love more (ok, not true, there are lots of things I love more, but for dramatic purposes...) that the change of seasons in the air. Breaking out a cozy snood (fancy for circle scarf) for a crisp girls morning of brunch and nails was thrilling! Keep reading to see how I wore my first knit of the season!

Shades of Blue
{Mint Cardi & Stripe Top - J.Crew; Teal Skirt - NY&Co, Belt - Target: Bag - Old Navy; Leopard Wedges - Payless}
Royal, teal and mint all together now. Some might think this outfit clashes, I happen to like all these colors mixed up. To each their own. Sorta like wearing red and pink. Which I'm also a fan of, now.

Oh Belly
{Jacket - J.Crew; Sweater - Link via TJ Maxx; Skirt - New York & Co; Flats - ASOS}
This belly is out of control. There is a full on baby in there and I have no idea how my body is holding it all in - just a little stretched out muscle and skin is doing that? How....?
And even a bigger question... how will my skin ever go back? Oh boy. The marvels of child rearing. What a strange, but amazing thing.

Game Day in the Fall
Today I'm watching my beloved Jayhawks on the TV vs. in person, as they're away today, playing Georgia Tech, but it's still Game Day. I'm also joining in on the fun at Long Distance Loving's Gametime link up. Here's my game day outfit.

Dumpster Diving
I love finding the most random places to take an outfit post... like the inside of a (mostly) empty dumpster. Because that is a normal site to see.... All you other outfit bloggers - where is the most random/strange place you've ever taken an outfit photo?
In other news, I've hopped upon the military vest wagon and LOVING my Old Navy vest. I can see this being an easy piece to throw on to make many plain outfits a bit more interesting in the coming months (plus my baby bump can stick right out).

1980s Called...
...they want their jacket back. But I said no, that I was keeping it.
It felt like spring today. It wasn't sticky hot...there was actually a little breeze and chill in the air. So I got to pull out a jacket to add even more interest to this floral yellow skirt with bright teal top. I love this mixture. I had fun wearing it.
I've been really lazy on my weekly Favorite Blogger's feature. It will be back, I'm just having too much fun reading blogs to remember to pick one with my week's favorite outfit!

Accessories Help
I have a confession to make, readers. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and I do not feel like getting dressed, let alone getting creative with what I wear. Sometimes it just feels like too much work. And I wish I could actually go to work in baggy sweats, a long sleeve cotton tee and slippers.
I know we all have those days (right?). Usually on those days, I just skip an outfit post (though I do feel a little guilty). But today I managed to look semi-decent (a la, no baggy sweats - winning!), so I thought I'd go ahead and share. I also think, in this case, I relied heavily on accessories to keep me from looking too boring (but with little effort required).

See? Boring.... But thank you accessories for adding some life to my Monday-Blaa outfit.

OOTD: On the Sunny Side
It was SO nice the past couple of days here. Here we are in December - and the sun was out, and weather warm enough for a light jacket, scarf and able to trot around town and get this Xmas shopping done! I am 90% done! Which I'm really happy about.
So with all this nice weather - I mixed a little springy wear with a winter wear and some bright tights to boot!

All That Glitters: Sequin Accessories
From sequin dresses, to heels and now glittery accessories... I can't get enough glitz! Well, it's the holidays after all. And these sequinedy pieces can be worm year around mixed and matched in unexpected ways.
Wear Now and Wear Later: A Skinny Belt from NY&Co
Wear Now and Wear Later: A Skinny Belt from NY&Co
For the holidays, layer a skinny sparkle belt over a cocktail dress or dark skinny jeans with heels.
And later, mix this sparkle belt with plaid, like over this J.Crew plaid dress.
This watch would look great with a simple black dress for a holiday party, or dark jeans for a night out.
Or later, dress it down with an American Apparel v-neck t and jeans.
Wear Now and Wear Later: Glitter Tights from Kohl's
Slip these under almost any holiday dress with bright heels for subtle glitz.
Later, layer knee-high rugged boots on over these tights, with a wool skirt and button down shirt for appropriate for work.
What glittery goodness will you don this season?

Outfit of the Day: Layering a summer piece
I was switching out my closet with Fall clothes and layer pieces, putting away my summer tanks and lighter things - and I decided to keep some thin summer tops for layering purposes. I like having clothes that I can wear all year long, even if that means having to wear over a long sleeve shirt or turtle neck and under a sweater.
So I started this process, the layering process:
So I started this process, the layering process:
J.Crew striped top and ruffle tissue tank with ruffle. New York & Co teal pencil skirt.
And those leopard flats I can't get enough of, along with a new purse from Gap. A cross between a hobo and satchel - I love this thing!

Wearing the Colors of Fall Trees
We haven't gotten to the colorful tree portion of Fall yet, but I am looking forward to that as last year my neighborhood was beautiful with vibrant purple, red, orange. My outfit reminds me of the trees in the fall:
Comprised of red, orange, yellow, purple - I think I'm wearing all the colors of the leaves in the Fall!

Another Carrie Inspiration: Outfit of the Day
Carrie inspiration from one SATC movie (flower bomber jacket posted about earlier) to the next, on to the 2nd! I loved many of her outfits in the 2nd movie, as I've posted a lot about already, but one I was excited to try myself:
the long top over an A-line skirt
I took my own spin and did this look for night:
Excuse the tan like (white shoulder glaring out of the shirt)

Banana Republic Turquoise Bling
Last week I journeyed to my nearest Banana Republic store to find the turquoise necklace that graced the necks of the BR models, but could not find available for purchase online. I was excited to see that my store had them in stock for sale! I was even more lucky to have gotten it 30% off...
With a splash of pink...
I intend to wear mine necklace with a similar colored dress I have soon... but this time around, I wore it this way:
